GE supports the generation of 60 percent of the Middle East’s electricity and helps purify more than 800 million liters of water a day. Our knowledge of the region’s unique water and power needs stems from a long history in the region, going back almost 80 years. This long-term commitment ensures our solutions will help meet a growing energy demand, which in the Middle East is expected to increase 76 percent by 2040.
GE remains committed to expanding its local footprint. In Abu Dhabi, our Gulf Turbine Services (GTS) facility addresses the short- and long-term needs of our power generation and oil and gas industry clients in and outside the UAE.
Underscoring the company’s commitment to delivering efficient technologies over the long term, the GE Water Center of Excellence in Dubai is the largest purpose-built water plant in the Middle East. The facility, which includes a chemical blending and manufacturing facility, houses technical expertise for the design and engineering of water solutions.
